Integrative Learning and Life Design

Goal: JHU’s ILLD will be staffed with DEI competent leaders, managers, and educators. 

Future State

  • DEI practices will be systematically implemented and integrated in all aspects of leading and managing the ILLD organization. 

Timeline

  • This goal will be achieved by 2027. 
  • 2023: Assess DEI competence of leaders, managers, and educators within ILLD. Host a DEI retreat, share the assessment results, and align priorities with DEI principles, and roll out the five-year plan. Host the inaugural DEI in recruiting workshop for all leaders, managers, and educators within ILLD. 
  • 2024: Host Leading with DEI workshops for all leaders and managers within ILLD. Continue to host workshops annually. 
  • 2025: Partner with HR, HSA, and Schools to host Advising with DEI workshops for all educators who counsel, advice, and coach students. Continue to host workshops annually. 
  • 2026: Create guides and documents to provide ongoing education and information about integrating DEI practices at work for all ILLD employees. 
  • 2027: Assess DEI competence of leaders, managers, and educators within ILLD. Host a DEI retreat, share the assessment results, and align priorities with DEI principles.
