Goal: University Communications will seek to address accessibility of all digital properties across the jhu.edu domain. This includes, but is not limited to, updating websites, tools, and technologies so that users with disabilities can use them as easily as possible. This ensures we can fairly recruit a diverse set of individuals and promote scholarly research to all interested parties.
Future State
All university websites should comply with the latest standards for accessibility.
Timeline
We will develop an initial assessment and work plan by the end of this year, including aggressive but achievable goals for website accessibility compliance. Given the sheer number of JHU-affiliated websites, we expect this to be an ongoing project that will extend beyond the 5- year time horizon.
