Create a PhD Pathways Innovation Fund

In March 2022, the Provost’s Office announced a call for proposals for Hopkins Pathways to PhD, aprogram investing $5 million to support the creation of summer and post-baccalaureate “pathway” programs that attract and prepare students from backgrounds underrepresented in academia to pursue PhDs in non-STEM fields.

Applications were reviewed by a committee in June 2022, and funding was awarded to 6 programs: Nursing, Education, History of Science, Medicine and Technology, Peabody, the Agora Institute, and a KSAS Collaboratory program.
