Goal: Revise our harassment policies and procedures to incorporate the new Maryland law which essentially lowers the threshold for what constitutes illegal harassment under state law.
Future State
- Effective October 1, 2022, Maryland law removes this requirement and litigants will need to show that, based on the totality of circumstances, the conduct unreasonably creates a working environment that a reasonable person would perceive to be “abusive and hostile”.Â
Timeline
- This goal has to be completed by October 1, 2022.
